- 1 Tbsp. baby shampoo
- 1 Tbsp. baby oil
- 1 cup water
Mix everything together and put the solution in a bottle. When using cloth wipes, squirt a small amount into the wipe, clean your baby, and enjoy the smell.
Note: I use Burt's Bees. I love their Baby Bee line. Sometimes, I use castile soap instead of baby shampoo.
Do you make your own wipe solution?
Can you share how it's made?
Copy cat :P You even have to go and use the same bottle? ;)
ReplyDeleteAmy, I confess, "I am a copycat." ;) I used that bottle because that's the one I received from the hospital after delivering Charis, and I can't justify spending a few dollars on a plastic bottle when I have two. And I LOVE Burt's Bees products for many reasons, but I won't go into them here.
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly what I used to do. Alas, we are done with diapers so no more. I would often make a big batch and refrigerate it so I would not have to keep making it.
ReplyDeleteI like the new title, too.
Most mom's that deliver in a hospital probably have one of those around and find it a good wipe solution bottle if they use cloth wipes :)
ReplyDeleteAt first I bought BumGenius spray, but this homemade solution looks like a more affordable option. Is this solution okay to spray directly on baby and then wipe with a dry reusable wipe?
ReplyDeleteI'm curious what the benefit of a "solution" is to just water? Does it actually help prevent anything in anyone's experience?
ReplyDeleteI just use water...
