Before my daughter was born, one of the first cloth diapers I bought was a Bummis cloth diaper cover, which I still love and use. So, I was excited when Bummis agreed to be one of my sponsors for the Mother's Day Cloth Diaper giveaway hop. Bummis sent me to their Stretch Bamboozle in size 2, which comes in 2 sizes:
- Size 1 fits from 5-18 lbs.
- Size 2 fits from 9-35 lbs.
The Stretch Bamboozle is made of rayon from bamboo. It has aplix closures {with laundry tabs}, a three step rise, and a snap in soaker with hidden microfiber core.
My daughter is 29.4 lbs. and 36 inches tall. When I received this diaper, the first thing I noticed was how soft this diaper is. Before using it, I washed it two times. During the day, I paired this fitted diaper with Bummis super whisper wrap and at night used a wool cover. I snapped the soaker in every time I used it and was able to use this on my daughter at night and the sheets were dry in the morning! I loved the absorbency. I liked that I was able to fold it to suit the my daughter's needs, especially since she sleeps on her tummy at night. This is now one of my go to diapers for night time use. The stretch bamboozle fit Charis very well, and there's definitely room for her to grow. Because of the aplix, it is very easy to use and get a good fit. The laundry tabs were strong enough to hold together while cloth diapers were being washed. It is also fast drying since the soaker is not sewn in.
The only thing I wish this diaper did not have is microfiber core, but I have no reason to complain about it since I have not had any negative issues.
For the Mother's Day Cloth Diaper Giveaway Hop, Bummis will be giving away a Stretch Bamboozle to the winner.

I have only tried one of their diaper covers so far. It was a hand-me-down from a friend, but has held up over time. I would love to try the Rocket Super Snap. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love bamboo diapers- would love to try these :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to try bamboo diapers. I've heard great things. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know the laundry tabs hold up in the wash. My biggest pet-peeve, when I take the time to fold over the tabs and then they come undone anyway!
ReplyDeleteI love Bummis prefolds, but I've never tried a Bamboozle. They look so soft and comfortable!
ReplyDeletei have always admired these... i am entering your giveaway right now and would love to win one!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of prepping a couple of these diapers, and I can't wait to use them!!! My lo will grab the doubler and cuddle with it like blanket...it's THAT soft.

ReplyDeleteI love bamboo diapers! I only have one so far, but am dying to try others!! Thanks for the giveaway too!
ReplyDeleteI have not tried a Bummis diaper but the Stretch Bamboozle looks like a good one. I would like to try it.
ReplyDeleteI have not made the step to try out the aplix closure. However, your comment about allowing more room because of it makes sense and is something I had never thought of previously. Thanks for that one!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try their bamboo diapers! We love our aplix too! They are the only thing that works for our skinny guy

ReplyDeleteI haven't tried anything by Bummis yet, but I LOVE bamboo diapers! I have an almost-4-month-old and usually I have to change her diaper in the middle of the night (and have doublers in both dipes); I tried her in a bamboo diaper and it lasted the entire night! I want to get more bamboo dipes to increase my night-time stash...
ReplyDeleteThe bamboo fabric looks so soft. I want to try fitteds, but unfortunately they're too costly for us. Winning one would be awesome :)

Bamboo is great. We use bamboo inserts to double at night and have hardly any issues with leaking. I have a bummis cover too that is super cute. I would LOVE to try a diaper made from bamboo.
