Recipe I Love {Summer #BlogChallenge}

When it comes to cooking, I almost never follow a recipe.  Usually dinner consists of diced meat cooked and adding vegetables towards the end.  Tonight, I made Sausage, Potatoes, and Peas for supper.

  1. Place olive oil and butter in cast iron pan.  Melt butter.
  2. Cut up 2 sausage links.  Cook sausage over medium heat.  FYI, I bought this from the Amish market on Saturday and let's just say I DEFINITELY miss the price of items like this in Pennsylvania. 
  3. Rinse and cut red skin potatoes. Once sausage is cooked through, add potatoes to pan.
  4. Add approximately 1 cup of water and sprinkle Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute on everything. Note: I LOVE the 21 Seasoning Salute and use it on almost everything I cook.
  5. Cook until potatoes are fork tender.  Add peas {or whatever vegetable you have} and cook for 5 more minutes.
  6. Add shredded smozzarella cheese and serve.
My husband stated, "This is REALLY good."  Charis had NO interest in eating it.  In the end, it's my husband's opinion that matters more than my daughter's.

    Dad is the hardest to please at dinner in this house.

  2. That's how my dinners are made too, cook some meat add a veggie, maybe a little something more. Last night it was leftover chicken thrown in with peppers and onions and served over rice. All three boys loved it, I didn't :)

    1. Do you cover it after you add the water and spices?
