Tiffany Neckwarmer {Yarn Along}

I finished knitting my sister's Christmas gift-the Tiffany Neckwarmer!!  I think it's a perfect gift for her.  She loves Audrey Hepburn.  When I started knitting, I cast on the recommended number of stitches, but saw it would be too small and decided to start over again.  I then cast on 104 stitches and that worked much better.  The only thing left is blocking it and sewing a snap on it.  I took a picture of the project tonight, but it was dark and had shadows, so I'll take another one tomorrow and post it.

Photo taken with the original 84 stitches cast on.
I'm currently reading The Perfectly Imperfect Home and am enjoying it.  It gives many suggestions about making your home personal.  I like the quote below.  I have a toddler to care for and a husband to help. We are definitely not perfect, but at the same time, it's not an excuse for chaos.  The living room might have toys on the floor because my daughter enjoys playing.  Life happens and I want my daughter to feel at home.
Embracing imperfection in a home does not mean that anything goes. Here it means aiming for beauty tempered by reality. If real life involves mess, accidents, memory, and the incidental, then so too must decorating account for serendipity, and even embrace it. ~Page 14
And yes, I'm still working on being a better housekeeper, which is something I struggle with because I dislike cleaning.
