One of my favorite past times is reading. When we moved to Pennsylvania, I was 10 years old {in 5th grade}. I had a hard time-a new school, new church, new state, plus more unknown. I would bury myself in books-often reading until 1-2 AM. Looking back some of the books I read were junk and I do not want to encourage my daughter to waste her time reading them {think
Sweet Valley Twins-what was I thinking?}, but others were worthwhile, such as
Anne of Green Gables. I still enjoy reading, but it's harder now with more responsibilities. Some of the books I want to read in the next year are...
Nonfiction:
One Thousand Gifts: I started reading this already
Organized Simplicity
Helper by Design
Books about American history, biographies, etc.
Books on Irish/British history
Fiction:
To Kill a Mockingbird: I read this when I was a freshman in high school and could not put it down.
Read the
Harry Potter series {Read Book 1 already}
Knitting Books:
The Knitter's Handy Book of Top Down Sweaters
Knitting Green
Do you have any book recommendations?
