My sister's pregnant and due in October. Her nursery colors are yellow and grey, so I decided to have at least one of those colors in everything I knit for the baby until he/she is here. I started knitting a baby vertebrae with Bamboo Pop yarn that I bought at Wolf Creek Yarns about two weeks ago. So far, I think this yarn is perfect for knitting baby gifts: it's soft yarn and machine washable.
The KnitPicks and IKEA catalogs came this past week. I thoroughly enjoy looking at both. I saw a few things I definitely want to get-basically everything form KnitPicks. ;) I want to see if our library system has a few books: Indie Socks, Sock Yarn One-Skein Wonders, The Art of Seamless Knitting, and Hand-Knit for Your Home. The reason the baby is in the below picture is because I would like to get the VANDRING SKOG baby blanket for my sister if she has a girl.
What are you reading or knitting?

What a lovely cowl! I love both those catalogs too... but I never order!
