On the drive home, I started knitting the quick slip cowl. The pattern is SUPER easy and should be finished, but I noticed a glaring mistake staring back at me. Instead of "wyif sl1", I purled a stitch. To me, it's horrible, but is it really that bad? Am I being overly critical?
The question is, am I being overly paranoid about how noticeable it is? Or should I try to fix it?

Wonderful color yarn. I don't think your mistake is noticeable at all, the yarn looks like it has different textures so it blends in.
ReplyDeleteNo one but you will notice - I promise!
ReplyDeletei don't think anyone will notice but you... BUT if it makes the piece less enjoyable you may want to fix it. it is lovely yarn!
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone would notice the mistake, but if it bothers you can you thread some yarn and stitch over it to replicate the pattern? I bet you could :) It's lovely btw.
ReplyDeleteNot to me it's not horrible! but I know little of which I speak ;) What an awesome yarn, though. My niece(s) would love this. Hmmmm..... ;)
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great! Pretty impressive actually. I tried to pick up knitting once but never got the hang of it. I wish I had though!
ReplyDeleteI actually think it looks intentional - to add texture! That's me, though :). I like texture.
ReplyDeletelove the colors on this slip cowl
ReplyDeleteVery creative! This looks really great and the color combination is awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful yarn and colorway for your cowl. I'll bet you could fix it...but then, you might be the only one to ever notice the mistake! Glad you enjoyed your visit to PA! Happy knitting :)
ReplyDeleteI think it looks wonderful! Really gorgeous knitting :)
ReplyDeleteI'd fix it, just so I wouldn't go crazy. Nice colors.
