My cousin Timothy and his wife Arlene are in the States this week. They're expecting their first baby in January!!! Of course I
had to knit a baby gift for them. My mum heard that they keep their house on the cooler side, so I decided to knit wool longies. I have no clue if they plan to cloth diaper, but at least their baby will be warm. I used the
kanoko pants pattern, and they loved it. Plus, I had the privilege of being the first one to give them a baby gift.
We also had my sister's baby shower on Saturday. I already knit a pair of longies for her baby, but decided to knit a
baby bowl for Saundy. She LOVES photography, and I figured she could use it to take newborn pictures. It turned out OK; I was not completely thrilled with it. Next time, I might use a different pattern or change it up a little bit.
Oh I just love that bowl!! Those Longies will be great on colder days.
ReplyDeletethose baby longies are adorable! - wouldn't it be nice if we could knit longies for ourselves and look as cute as babies look in them? - I'd totally wear some , they look so comfy and warm :D
ReplyDeleteI'm almost done knitting up some Kanoko Pants too! I just love the way they look!
ReplyDeleteLove those pants. We have two cousins expecting in the spring, maybe I will make some.
ReplyDeleteGah I love the longies!! They are so cute. I might have to knit a few pairs. :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable! What an honor to be the first to give. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautifully done. I think handmade gifts are so thoughtful and special. I really wish I knew how to knit like that!
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable! They are a great gift, even if they don't cloth diaper. You put a lot of effort into them:) Its amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh my! The baby bowl is really cute. I simply love it. It would surely keep the baby warm. But how did you do it?
