Wife, Mummy, Nurse: Apple Picking at Larriland

Apple Picking at Larriland

80 days until I turn 30! I'm getting old. Thankfully, I was able to cross another thing off my bucket list of things I want to do before I'm 30.
21. Go pick fruit and/or vegetables with Charis at a farm.
This was not my first time picking with her. We picked apples at Larriland when she was 5 weeks old. Needless to write, she has no recollection of it. I planned on picking more vegetables and fruit this summer, but since we were getting a weekly CSA box, I didn't see the need. Together, we picked 20+ lbs. of apples. Three different varieties: Fugi, Stayman, and Braeburn. Charis and I have been eating 2-3 apples a day. We may need to pick apples again ASAP. We also bought apple cider from the barn; it was SO MUCH BETTER than store bought apple cider, still pasteurized, but the taste was delicious.

Have you picked apples with your children?
If so, how did it go?
