Reading: I just finished reading a blog post about a woman who looks down on stay at home wives/moms and thinks they have little to know value in society. I will not share the post because I refuse to give her more clicks. Right now I stay at home full time and LOVE it, though I often wish I was a better housekeeper. Ultimately I need to realize that it does not matter what the world thinks of our family; Drew and I are ALONE responsible to God for how we raise Charis and Lil' J {+ whatever children God blesses us with}.
One of my favorite Psalms is 113:
Praise the Lord! Praise, O servants of the Lord, praise the LORD! ... He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the Lord!
Watching: While You Were Sleeping. LOVE this movie. It's one of my favorites with Sandra Bullock.
Thankful for: For the kicks I feel in my belly, and that my glucose was normal for my gestational diabetes glucose test. I only had to drink that drink ONCE!! I'm just excited about this because the day I had to fast and drink that horrid drink, I had a major migraine. I took a nap and tried not to cry. It hurt to turn. I would rather check my blood sugar myself for a few weeks before meals than to go through that again.
It's been a busy season for me and I'm trying to catch up... Your new blog look is really cute, Sarah, and I just love that you are happily busy with life and mothering. We got a new pastor this past year and are so happy...will be praying for your church's search for a new shepherd. :)
ReplyDeleteBeing a SAHM is an admirable and natural thing. A mother knows best!
ReplyDeleteI love being a SAHM as well. And that glucose test was the worst! I'm just glad I didn't have to do the 3 hour test the second time around.
