Baby Knits {Yarn Along}

On Friday night, I decided to pick up my double pointed needles and knit Baby Socks. The pattern is from More Last Minute Knitted Gifts. I have only borrowed this book from the library at least five times and at this rate with the fines slowly adding up, it would have been cheaper to buy the book. Sigh... It's a very simple, straight forward pattern that is easy to memorize. I would like to keep this pattern on hand to knit more socks to give as baby gifts. The yarn used was Cotton Twirl {90% Cotton/10% Nylon}; I enjoyed the colorway, but since I've knit with it before and forgot to write down the details, I forgot what the colorway is called. My biggest complaint with that yarn was it was rather splitty; I decided to make a knot in the end in case I needed to unravel the project.

After finishing the baby socks on Sunday night, I picked up the Baby Sophisticate cardigan on Monday. I have not finished it yet, but right now I'm wondering, "Why did I put this down for so long? It's such a quick, easy knit."

Yesterday, I sent off the Seaglass Scarf to my #YarnStitchSwap partner. I hope she likes it because I selfishly wanted to keep it for myself and not send it off. Sorry about chopping my head off in the photo, but I wanted to try and get a picture of the actual scarf.

On Monday night, I started reading Rainbow Garden by Patricia St. John to Charis again. I started reading it to her about a year ago, but she would NOT stay still for anything. Now, she enjoys it when I read to her. We only finished the first chapter, and I imagine we'll be reading it next week as well.

What's on your needles?

  1. Oh, wow--I would've had a hard time sending off that scarf too! Your baby knits look great! I love how fast those projects go!
