August 2013, I started knitting a baby vertebrae for my sister's unborn baby, but did not finish it in time for my niece to wear. It sat, collecting dust for 6+ months, until I finally decided to complete it for my unborn son. I did not finish it before his birth, but was able to cast off about 1 1/2 weeks after he was born. He has work it several times: at church, at his baptism, around the house, shopping, to visit the doctor. Sadly, it no longer fits him. I'm hoping to knit him another vertebrae for winter.
I have about 4 different other projects that I'm working on right now that I knit in my "free" time. In other words, I rarely knit. And to be honest, I would not want it any other way. These days will pass quickly.
