Test Knit #YarnAlong

On Ravelry, one of the groups I'm in is "The Testing Pool". I love this group. Designers post on the discussion board that they have a pattern that they want tested. Knitters come on and let the designers know that they would be willing to test knit the item. Or in some cases, we request to be earburned in the pattern is out. Test knitters knit the object following the pattern to a T and let the designer know if the pattern is clear, make suggestions for improvement, or tell the designer if they come across errors.

I have test knit 2 patterns and am now in the process of test knitting my third project. Back in July, one of my favorite designers earburned me, along with many others, and let us know she had a new pattern that she was wanting to be test. I got in on this pattern! It's a shawl, but since the project is not complete yet and the pattern is not released yet, I'll update you more later. I'm trying to decided whether I want to keep the shawl for myself when I'm finished knitting it or whether I want to give it to my mum as a Christmas gift. Decisions, decisions...

I am currently listening to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on my iPod. I read this before in the past, but never got past the first book. I want to read all seven books, so I decided to go back and listen to the first before proceeding with the other books.

What are you reading or knitting?
Join me at Ginny's Yarn Along.

  3. The Testing Pool sounds like a lot of fun. What does "earburned" mean? I've never heard that term before.
