10/8: I cast on 72 stitches. K1P1 for 1 1/2 inches.
10/9: Knit until 6.5 inches from cast on edge. In order to make hat less pointy, round 1 started decreasing 6 stitches/row {Knit 10 K2tog}.
10/13: Cast off today. Right now it’s in the washer starting the felting process. I hope it felts down enough. The circumference is 24 inches, and it’s 12 inches from the cast on edge to the peak of the hat.
10/14: After washing, It felted nicely, but it's still a wee bit big on Lil' J. I threw it into the washer again tonight. Hopefully, it will felt even more, but not shrink too much.

ReplyDeleteadorable!!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Your picture is just precious ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love that little hat! Our son is going as an Ewok, using a bear outfit we inherited and then draping a brown tshirt over it.
ReplyDeleteCute! Is Charis going Stars Wars themed too? That's what the boys are doing, I was tempted to do the yoda hat for Amelia, but couldn't bring myself to do anything that isn't girlie now that I finally have a girl :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable! I've been looking for a cute baby hat for my next project, and I think I've found it.
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! And I love the color
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooo cute! I have never tried a felted project, do you like doing them? Find it more difficult than your typical knitted project?
ReplyDeleteThat'a adorable! I actually never thought about felting a beanie before, maybe I should give it a try :) And I know this is for a baby hat, but I'm thinking about maybe making one for my sister, who's a big Star Wars fan :)
