Wife, Mummy, Nurse: Kitty Hat #Yarn Along

Kitty Hat #Yarn Along

On Saturday night, I told my mother, "I'll be finished with Charis's kitty hat by Tuesday." Unfortunately, I have not cast off yet. I finished one of the ears, It will take less than 30 minutes to finish the other ear. I am not looking forward to weaving in all the ends.

Other than water, one of my favorite beverages to drink is tea, especially chai tea. Since going to Uganda in 2006, I am very particular about the taste of my chai teas. My favorite brand is Tazo organic chai. In the past, I have tried putting together spices and making real, homemade tea, but the results have always been wanting. You can often find me drinking tea and knitting at night after my children go to bed. Do you drink anything when you knit?

I just started listening to The Book Thief. I want to see the movie, but want to listen/read the book first.
I had hoped to borrow Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D. James from the library. Unfortunately, it was not available, and I had to reserve it for Overdrive.

What are you reading or knitting?

  1. If I drink anything while I am knitting, it is usually ice water. But after reading this post, I might have to add Celestial Seasonings Chamomile tea to my knitting experience!

  2. I like the colors you chose, the purple should make the ears stand out in your hat. I have tried making chai tea at home too and it hasn't been right yet.

  4. We love all Tazo teas around here, and have recently been drinking a lot of Yogi teas.

  5. I usually drink tea (Formosa Oolong) while I craft or crochet. It's calming, to me.

  7. I LOVE Tazo's organic chai! I've got some at home right now. I wish I was a better knitter. I knit my husband a scarf and it took such a long time for me to finish it.
