Thankfully, knitting has picked up. I completed three projects this past week (all of which were stash busts!!!). I only have pictures of two of the projects.
I knit the Mustard Scarf for Very Shannon's Gilmore Girls KAL. The mustard scarf has been in my Ravelry queue for awhile. I knit it with Lion Brand Homespun yarn (not my favorite), but: 1)It was in my stash, 2)It is easy to wash and care for, and 3)It gets softer after washing.
The second knit complete was the Garter ear flap hat. I knit it with Cestari traditional 2 ply wool, which I bought two years ago at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. Despite the slightly coarse feel of this yarn, I enjoyed it (the feel is similar to Peace Fleece, but not as "scratchy"). After washing it with Euculan and a tiny drop of conditioner, it is MUCH softer. I plan on giving it to one of the babies (from church) born in March.

ReplyDeleteVery nice hat. I'm glad you got out of your knitting slump. I was in one myself for a couple of weeks there.
