On Halloween, we went trick or treating, and our Spanish speaking neighbor's were passing out candy. As we were leaving, Charis said, "Gracias!" They replied, "De nada." Charis was so excited that she spoke with them in Spanish.

ReplyDeleteHow cute! My parents always think it's the sweetest thing when my bilingual kiddos speak to them in Spanish or Spanglish. It's great that she's learning so fast and able to actually use it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to connect with others! That's great that she's picking up on Spanish. I speak Portuguese and really need to prioritize teaching this to my kids. Spanish is similar too so I picked up on it living in the south. Language opens up so many doors and opportunities.
ReplyDeleteYay!! for the love if learning! :-)
